Progressive Farmer, Kachwari, Budgam, Jammu & Kashmir Mr. Abdul Aziz Bazaz from Kachwari, Budgam, Jammu & Kashmir is an innovative and progressive fruit grower. Contribution of Sh. Bazaz in temperate fruit production is exemplary. Sh. Bazaz is known for organic temperate fruit cultivation in the area. Sh. Bazaz has apples, pears, cherry, apricot orchards in an area of about 5 hectares. He produces best quality ‘A’ grade apples, pears and apricots and getting highest price for his produce. He is professionally very sound in organic production and disseminating his knowledge to other fruit growers in the region. The efforts of Sh. Bazaz in organic production and dissemination of advance technologies of temperate fruit production were well appreciated at different platforms. He is recipient of Apple Grower Award, Almond Grower Award, SP Foundation Award 2012, and received Appreciation Award from ICAR-CITH for his valuable contribution in the area of temperate fruit production. The Horticulture Society of India deems it a great honour in conferring the Honorary Fellowship for the year 2015 to Sh. Abdul Aziz Bazaz, for his significant contribution in temperate fruit production in Jammu & Kashmir.
