Dr Manjul Dutt (2018)
Research Scientist, Citrus Research and Experiment Centre, Orlando, University of Florida, USA. Dr Dutt did his graduation from Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT), Bhubaneswar; M.Sc. from MPKV, Rahuri and Ph.D. from University of Florida, USA. He started his career as Research Assistant at the University of Kentucky and later at the University of Florida, USA on Citrus Biotechnology. His research contributions include managing of the Huanlongbing (HLB) disease of citrus. He also worked on development of somatic hybrids and transgenics for biotic and abiotic stress tolerant citrus scion and rootstock genotypes. His work on bio-fortification on citrus is widely acclaimed. He has over 60 research papers in high rated journals, several scientific articles and e-publications. He guided several graduates and post-graduate students and mentored several Post-doc scholars. He received Commonwealth Research Award of the University of Kentucky, award of the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, University of Florida and Award of the American Society for Horticultural Sciences.
