Dr Reddy contributed significantly to fruit crops research and development, germplasm exploration/ conservation. He standardised integrated water and nutrient management in banana; high density planting in banana and pineapple; methodology for estimation of area and production of mango and banana orchards. He also standardized the technology of using Dogridge as rootstock of Grapes for successful cultivation under saline soils and chloride toxic water conditions in Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka He has published 53 research papers, authored 5 books, 8 book chapters; presented 51 papers in national and international conferences and has visited more than 6 countries under various capacities. He is bestowed with one National Award and 3 fellowships. He was President of Society for Promotion of Sub-Tropical Horticulture and member of many professional societies.
