Vice-President, M/s VNR Seeds, Raipur, Chhattisgarh Mr. Vimal Chawda is a graduate from GBPUAT, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand. He has 24 years of professional experience on cultivation of different crops including several vegetables, fruits and 15 years of experience in doing agri-business. Mr. Chawda has developed several hybrids in vegetables and promoted use of plastics in the Hi-tech Horticulture. He promoted participatory vegetable hybrid seed production and grafting in vegetable seedling. He is widely travelled and has visited over 15 countries. His achievements have been recognized through several awards and recognitions, viz. Vice-Chancellors Silver Medal at GBPUAT; Young Entrepreneur Award, Ten Outstanding Young Indian Award, N.G. Ranga Farmer Award for Diversified Agriculture; Farmer Service Medal by Bharat Krishak Samaj, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh and Young Achiever Award. He was Chairperson for the Vegetable Group Committee of Federation of Seed Industry of India.
