Chairman, Bejo Sheetal Research Pvt. Ltd. Jalna, Maharashtra Born on 27th September 1944, graduated in 1964 and started carrier as entrepreneur with establishment of his company “Safal Seeds Pvt. Ltd.” in 1968. He established a joint venture company with a renowned Dutch vegetable seed company “Bejo Zaden b.v.” of the Netherlands. “Bejo Sheetal Seeds Pvt. Ltd.” company was the first of seed companies to have joint venture with foreign collaboration. Under his leadership more than 800 new hybrid varieties of vegetables have been developed & some of them are recognized & notified by Indian Council of Agricultural Research and other organizations in the country. Production of True Potato Seeds (TPS) started in 1997, is one of the largest production facility at Jalna & producing TPS for export to different countries around the world consistently since last 20 years. He has been honoured by Indian Society of Alliums with “Outstanding Life Time Achievement Prestigious Award”, on 12th March 2011, National Seed Association for his “Outstanding contribution to the growth & development of Indian Seed Industry” during National Seed Congress 2012 at Pune. Mr. Agrawal acted as member on Board of Management of Central Agriculture University, Imphal. He has encouraged students by sponsoring the “Gold Medal” to the meritorious students in agriculture at various Universities.
