Editors/ Editor-in-Chief

The Indian Journal of Horticulture, prime publication of the Society, was started in the year 1943. Dr P.K. Sen was elected as the founder Editor of the Society. Dr K.L. Chadha became Editor of the Society in 1969 and continued upto 1990 (21 years), then Dr R.N. Pal became the Editor in 1991 and served the position upto 2008 (8 years). The Editor was supported by one Assistant Editor later two more Assistant Editors were added keeping in view the different sub-discipline of Horticulture. The position of Editor was upgraded in 2012 to Editor-in-Chief, the Dr S.K. Singh has been elected as first Editor-in-Chief of the Society/ Journal. Similarly, position of Assistant Editor was upgraded to Editor. Presently Editor-in-Chief is supported by two Editors and an Editorial Board comprising of 12 members besides an International Advisory Board nominated by the President/ EC.
