Sangha Seeds, Vill & Post Quadian Wali, Via Jamsher Khas, Jalandhar, Punjab Mr. Sangha, established tissue culture and plant pathology facility in 1994 and mentor to establish the original “Sangha” or “S-Mark” seed potatoes in all the potato-producing states in India. The Sangha Group has been the largest producer of seed and table potatoes in Asia since last 40 years. The seed program is supported by a Tissue Culture Facility & a Plant Pathology Laboratory for disease testing including ELISA testing for 6 viruses. Shri Sangha has been awarded the Order of Nishan-é-Khalsa at Commemoration of 300 years of Sikhism; Lifetime Achievement Award for propagation, cultivation and popularizing potato seeds in the country and overseas -India International Potato Expo 2008 (Government of West Bengal and Indian Chamber of Commerce) at Kolkata in January 2008; Progressive Potato Farmer Award at the Global Potato Conference 2008; Honorary Fellow of Indian Potato Association; and Industry Award at World Potato Congress 2009, held at Christchurch, New Zealand on 24 March, 2009.
